This club will is designed for both Beginners & Intermediates (Students who previously participated in our Animation Club are leveling up!)
BEGINNERS:
Students embark on a journey to be the designers and developers of their very own 13-bit video game! This class unlocks creative expression empowering students to create without limits and technical skills through easy implementation. They will create and design their game world using DIGITAL ARTS + ANIMATION MAGIC. Every element in their game from characters, layouts, power-ups, etc are uniquely constructed by our students (Think: Mario, Sonic, or Pokemon!!) CodeFu kids build increasingly important tech skills they can use to create, explore and innovate their way to future readiness!
INTERMEDIATE:
For students who have previously participated in our Fall Animation Game Club, it’s time to take Your skills to the Next Level!! This two-part series challenges our intermediate designers to push their creative boundaries and collaborate on a large-scale, team-driven project. Students will take everything they’ve learned—from animation and character design to game mechanics—and apply it to build one giant video game together with fellow creators! They'll hone their ability to test, debug, and iterate on their creations, ensuring their game is both fun and functional. The magic happens when all the parts come together—creating a dynamic game full of surprises, interactive features, and polished animations!
Through the design thinking process students combine art, animation, design and logic to establish the basic coding theories: Events, Conditionals, Data, Testing, Debugging, Decomposition.
Upon completion of the program students' games will be uploaded to a public (safe) arcade store for the world to enjoy!! (Games may be accessed and played on a tablet or PC.)
The Art of CodeFu aims to transform screen time into a FUN LEARNING environment by guiding your child through a variety of engaging and immersive activities! With each new season of CodeFu programs, students will strengthen their coding FUNdamentals using NEW programs and techniques that unlocks computer literacy skills and foster technical development. CodeFu kids build increasingly important tech skills they can use to create, code, and innovate their way to future readiness!

CodeFu Tampa is a Kids Coding, Robotics & Video Game Development Enrichment Program designed to bring students in PK-8 grade education in STEM, Coding & Computer Science conveniently to the classrooms. OUR CURRICULUM IS DESIGNED AND CREATED BY FORMER TEACHERS, TOP ENGINEERS & PROFESSORS SUCH AS, NEIL DASWANI, HEAD OF THE CYBERSECURITY DEPARTMENT AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY!
During our Coding & Game Design Dojos, CodeFu students will become programming experts by learning the front & back-end of video game design, app development, web design, robotics and more! Whether they’re learning block based code or more advanced languages such as Python, HTML, JS etc., our students will have created a number of different challenging games & programs throughout their coding journey as they progress through our Grasshopper, Apprentice, and Sifu levels.
Our After School enrichment classes & Summer Camps scaffold logical, computational & concentration skills using the focus seen in KungFu. We teach the FUNdamental logic of technical literacy and programming while implementing National Common Core Standards integrating subjects into coding from PE to Science.
Social & Emotional Development themes are incorporated in weekly lessons to empower student's individuality as ambassadors of innovation and ingenuity! In addition, offscreen coding activities will be implemented to teach the importance of technology and its role in the balance with being Active and In Tune with the outside world ~ The Yin & Yang of Technology & Nature.
