Handball with College Athletes

DescriptionHello! Welcome to Laurel's Afterschool Handball Program with College Athletes! What is Handball? Is a team sport that combines elements of soccer, basketball, and hockey. The goal of the game is to score points by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. Note: Not a advanced class Mission: To help your child learn the basics while enjoying the Sport! Curriculum: In this class your child will be learning the general rules and basics. We will focus on playing more sport related events so that your child can truly find a healthy and fun way to exercise with others. Check In (Bathroom, Snack, Change if needed) and walk over to the Marina Green : 15 Min - 20 Min Warm Up Game: 15 min Throwing and Tactical Drills (Sport Related) : 15 min Scrimmage (Sport Related) : 30 min Pick up: Please arrive 10 min before class ends. (Please note that our coaches are in college and need to go to class or practice right after). You can pick up at the Marina Green or back at school. Rain or Extreme Weather Days: We will move class indoors and make the training a classroom session where your child will learn more about their sport. The history behind the sport and how it has changed over time. Sport terms used in todays time as well as sport videos provided by the coach on plays and different skills. Parent Teacher Conferences and School Holidays: We will not be training on these days so please plan accordingly. Thank you very much! DescriptionHello Parents! Welcome to the Oak Knoll Afterschool Kickball Program with Menlo College Athletes What is kickball? Kickball is a combination of baseball and soccer where the pitcher rolls the ball to the person to be kicked and would then have to run around 1st, 2nd, 3rd and home plate to score for their team. Beginner Level Mission: To help your child learn the basics while enjoying the sport with friends. Curriculum: In this class your child will be learning the general rules and basics. We will focus on playing more sport related games so that your child can truly find a healthy and fun way to exercise with others.
