DescriptionThis course will focus on familiarizing students with working with clay! The course will focus on hand-building techniques. It will range from slab building, pinch pots, and coiling. Students will also learn surface design techniques to decorate their pieces! The goal of the course is to have everyone end with pieces of art that they can bring home for everyone to admire and enjoy! I am aiming to help students create a fridge magnet, a small pot, and a bowl. I will be providing students with all necessary materials/tools and transporting pieces for firing at an offsite ceramics studio. A course syllabus will be provided before classes start!
