THE SCHEDULE & GENERAL NOTES
Registration opens on Sunday April 6th at 8PM EDT and closes on April 9th at 11:59PM EDT. To avoid sign-up delays, please be sure in advance that your children are properly set up in the Homeroom system (grade level, teacher for THIS school year, parent contact, etc). PLEASE NOTE: Homeroom will automatically move your child up a grade level BUT it will not update the child's teacher. Please be sure to do this before registering for classes. Clubs begin the week of April 28, 2025. All Clubs run from 3:00 - 4:15PM.
In the event of a cancelled class or instructor unavailability during the main session, there is a make-up week the week of June 9th.
Please note the grades eligible for each club and sign-up accordingly. Students may not register for clubs for which they are ineligible due to age/grade. Clubs are available for grades K-5 (not PreK). We are unable to make exceptions to grade level requirements.
CLASS CHANGES AND WAITLISTS:
Parents may request class changes up to April 9th. If your child is on a waitlist and a slot becomes available, the Homeroom system will send an invitation to the enrolled email to confirm enrollment. Please confirm within 24 hours as the system will move on to the next person on the waitlist. If you confirm a waitlist invitation and it conflicts with another class, we will cancel your enrollment in the other class. Please email us at clubs@rspto.org should this scenario arise for you.
SPECIAL NEEDS:
To ensure that all children have a positive experience, if your child has special needs and requires the support of an aide to fully participate in a club, please let us know when you register. Please mention this in the "Student Details" Notes section. We want to make sure your child has a great experience!
Please also contact Principal Max Achtau (maxachtau@princetonk12.org) and your child’s Case Manager as soon as you have registered so that the Riverside School can support your child.
PRICING: Please be aware that Homeroom charges an additional processing fee on top of the price stated in the catalog (roughly an additional 3%).
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Scholarship funds are available from the Riverside School and requests are handled in a confidential manner. Please submit your request or eligibility inquiry about financial assistance directly to your teacher and they will coordinate with us to have your club reimbursed.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS DURING CLUBS ARE NEEDED!
Enjoy a 50% discount* by agreeing to serve as a Parent Volunteer! Parent Volunteers are required for each day - please note that we have changed the way this works. We will only need 2 volunteers per day but they MUST be available for the entire season. Volunteers are required to be onsite in a support role throughout the season from 2:45-4:15 pm – or until the last child has been picked up. To take advantage of this opportunity, send an email to: clubs@rspto.org, with your name, child’s name, the day that you're available to serve as a Parent Volunteer. Requests to serve as a volunteer will be accepted on a first come first served basis. If you email us before registration opens, we will pre-register your child for the club of their choosing on the same day that you are volunteering.
*50% off for one child in the club of your choosing but must be on the same day that you are volunteering.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Once the season has begun, NO REFUNDS can be issued for any reason, including district mandated school closure, parent volunteer unavailability, weather or natural disaster, scheduled conflicts, families who have changed their minds, illness or injury, or birthdays.
Should any of those scenarios occur, please consider your payment as a contribution to the RS PTO, not a “fee for service".
