Description
In “Create Your Own Theatre Show” with American Legacy Theatre, students will write, design, and act in their own original theatrical production focused on issues critical to them. The program will take place over the course of 18 contact hours (spread across 14 weeks) and will culminate in a performance in which students will perform their original piece – a world premiere! We welcome students with all levels of experience (from first-timers to theatre enthusiasts) to participate. Please note: American Legacy Theatre is committed to making a more equitable tomorrow through accessible theatre. Students whose families are at/below 200% Federal Poverty Level are eligible to access ALT’s grants funding in order to participate free of charge. (Depending on availability of funding, we may be able to help offset costs for those up to 300% Federal Poverty Level.) To view 200-300% Federal Poverty Level, please reference this chart: https://www.medicaidplanningassistance.org/federal-poverty-guidelines/ A 10% sibling discount is also available for all families! Please email Dora Bayliss, Arts Impact Program Director, at dora.bayliss@americanlegacytheatre.org to request funding and/or inquire about a sibling discount.
