Description
Advanced group for returning chess club students from last year, those interested in building on their chess skills, and chess players interested in weekend tournaments!
Students will learn chess strategies, tactics and openings, and have fun playing chess. Chess promotes critical thinking skills that help children learn to stay calm, stay focused, and make a plan. Each class includes a lesson, chess puzzles, and game-playing time. Chess sets, chess boards, and other materials are all provided. All you need is to be eager to play and learn!
Note: if your child has a lot of chess experience (e.g. playing in tournaments) and you think they might be a good fit for the Advanced Chess Club group, please reach out to Coach Chris at cpflames@gmail.com
