Description
Students will be taught how to play the guitar, listen to each other as an ensemble, and write original songs. Over the years, I've observed students in music classes and notice they become deeply engaged in the act of self-expression and songwriting, and this is often as fun (for some, if not more fun) than playing their instruments! They can draw, write, and/or have a teacher scribe for them. Students have an outlet to express their unique, wise, creative, fanciful, and hilarious ideas by themselves and/or with a friend. The ability to read helps but is not required. Recommended age 7 and up, and the use of a nylon string guitar. NOTE: Students must bring their own guitar and snack.

Cancellation policy
1. Students must have their own instruments to participate.
UKULELE: If you're buying your first one, I recommend one with rainbow-colored strings. "Everyjoy" on Walmart.com has one, and I've also seen the "Diamond Head" brand in the past on Amazon.com.
GUITAR: A nylon stringed one is recommended. 3/4 or 1/2 size.
2. A no-show results in the loss of class; make-ups are not possible. However, you can reach out to the teacher for information on what was covered in class.
3. The payment covers the entire session. Missed classes will not be prorated, as your payment holds your spot for the class. No refunds will be made, unless the teacher fails to deliver all the classes due to unforeseen circumstances.
4. In the event of teacher illness, a make-up class date will be announced, or a substitute teacher will teach the class.
5. Disciplinary Procedures: In the event that a student demonstrates a pattern of disruptive behaviors and requires more time from the teacher at the expense of the other students' learning, I will ask that your child be picked up, via text or phone call. A plan will then be created with the family to support your child's future success in my class.
