DescriptionStudents will be taught how to play the guitar, listen to each other as an ensemble, and write original songs. Over the years, I've observed students in music classes and notice they become deeply engaged in the act of self-expression and songwriting, and this is often as fun (for some, if not more fun) than playing their instruments! They can draw, write, and/or have a teacher scribe for them. Students have an outlet to express their unique, wise, creative, fanciful, and hilarious ideas by themselves and/or with a friend. The ability to read helps but is not required. Recommended age 7 and up, and the use of a nylon string guitar. NOTE: Students must bring their own guitar and snack.
