Description
Minecraft, with over 238 million copies sold worldwide, is a global favorite for sparking creativity and collaboration in kids. In this super session for grades 1-5, students will go far beyond playing the game—they’ll bring their Minecraft creations to life through 3D printing. Imagine your child designing a magical fairy castle with glowing redstone lights, a friendly robot built to protect their kingdom, or even a fleet of whimsical rocket ships ready for intergalactic adventures. With Minecraft Education Edition, those imaginative creations will move from the screen into the real world, allowing students to hold their 3D-printed designs and proudly share them with friends and family.
In addition to creating, students will learn how to use Minecraft’s powerful tools to enhance their projects. They’ll code Agents to help build large-scale designs, experiment with redstone circuits to add moving parts like drawbridges or trapdoors, and bring characters, vehicles, and other creative objects to life. These skills are taught with younger learners in mind, using hands-on activities and a playful approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
Beyond building and printing, this course emphasizes essential life skills. Students will collaborate with peers to tackle design challenges, share their ideas confidently, and develop persistence as they turn their imaginations into reality. Parents can feel confident that “More than Minecraft” isn’t just about gaming—it’s about fostering creativity, encouraging critical thinking, and giving kids the tools to explore their limitless potential in fun, age-appropriate ways.
