Description
Get ready for a high-energy, rock 'n' roll ride through Grease the Musical! This semester's Mixon Musical Theatre class is the perfect opportunity for 2nd-5th grade students to dive into the retro world of sock hops & classic cars, where they'll sing, dance, and act their way through this iconic 1950s musical. In this class, your child will bring to life beloved characters like Danny, Sandy, Rizzo, and Kenickie as they learn the classic songs and memorable dance moves that make Grease so unforgettable. We will make our own poodle skirts, learn the hand jive, and get hands-on experience creating set pieces—like crafting 1950s-style classic cars for the iconic drag race scene. This immersive learning experience gives children a chance to be part of every aspect of the production, from performing to building.
