Description
With a focus on experimentation and cultivating construction skills, young fashion designers will have the freedom to design and construct garments and accessories without the limitations of a theme or the pressure of a deadline!
Class sessions will begin with a demonstration of a new skill, followed by design & construction time. Designers will meet individually with Miss Reese to pitch their fashion plans, get advice and select supplies. Depending on the level of difficulty, it is possible to complete multiple finished pieces over the course of the workshop.
We will be using a variety of machine and hand-sewing techniques and students will have access to life-sized dressforms to aid them in the creation of their work. Participants will also be provided with a fashion sketchbook to generate concept sketches and brainstorm ideas.
Please note: there is not a runway show/performance at the conclusion of this course

Cancellation policy
Miss Reese Fashion Club honors the policies set by each school’s enrichment team. No refunds once the class is in session with some exceptions. Refunds do not include credit card processing fees, pta fees or supply fees.

About the provider
Miss Reese Fashion Club (MRFC) is a Fashion Design Education program based out of West Seattle, with a primary focus of providing quality fashion education for young designers, ages 6-12. MRFC was established in the summer of 2014 when Owner/Designer/Instructor, Maresa Cogger, “Miss Reese” decided to ditch the corporate fashion world of LA and return home to Seattle, WA to try her hand at teaching. What began as a modest summer camp for elementary age students, has since grown to include a variety of art, design and sewing opportunities, including: Fashion for Teens, Summer Camps, Holiday Camps, Runway Shows, Weekend Workshops, Birthday Parties, Adult Sewing & Design Courses, and Private Lessons!
