When registering, please put your child's CURRENT 2024-2025 OLOM grade level. You must add a registration fee per child to your cart to checkout. You are not enrolled in Camp Blue Jay until the registration fee is processed per child.
All weeks can be added or dropped up to the preceding Wednesday. For example, you have until Wednesday, May 28th, to register for or drop Week 1 (June 2nd–6th). To register for a week, simply add it to your cart and checkout. To drop a week before June 2nd, go to your payments page and click "Cancel" next to the week you'd like to remove.
To drop a week after June 2nd, you will need to contact Cristina Sosa either through Homeroom or by email at CSosa@olomschool.org. Please note that as we move closer to May, some weeks may become waitlisted for certain grades.
Payments:
All payments for both Camp Blue Jay and Extended Day will be drafted the Wednesday before the week of attendance. Full summer payment options will be drafted on May 1st. The only fee collected at registration is the registration fee.
Nap Mats:
All Rising Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students (current Little Saints, PreK & Kinder) will need to provide a nap mat with an attached pillow/blanket.
Lunch/Snacks:
All students will need to provide a snack and lunch. Students utilizing our extended day program will need an additional snack.
T-Shirts and Camp Attire:
One Camp Blue Jay t-shirt is included with registration. We will require all Camp Blue Jay students to wear Camp Blue Jay t-shirts Monday - Thursday. Any Mercy t-shirt may be worn on Friday. Additional Camp Blue Jay t-shirts are available to order. (The 2025 Camp Blue Jay t-shirt design remains the same as all past years Camp Blue Jay t-shirts.) Additional Camp Blue Jay t-shirts will be available to purchase as we move closer to May.
Students may wear any colored shorts and athletic shoes with their CBJ shirt.
Daily Activities:
Students who attend Camp Blue Jay can expect a relaxed and fun daily schedule. Weather permitting, all students will have free play outdoors every morning. Once things heat up, we'll move inside to have various activities throughout the day. Every day will be something different! Included activities are arts and crafts, Spanish lessons, religion classes, mindful movement, and so much more! (All daily activities are subject to change.)
Weekly Activities:
Camp Blue Jay students will have multiple performers and activities brought right to them on our OLOM campus. We have everything from a ballet performance from the Baton Rouge Youth Ballet to a visit by Bluebonnet Swamp, which includes a chance to pet and hold various Louisiana animals. We also have a weekly water play day on our campus every Friday, weather permitting.
