Camp S.W.A.G
(Elementary School: Rising Pre-Kindergarten - Rising 5th Grade Students)
Southern University Laboratory School is excited to announce that we will host our S.W.Ag.-STEM, writing, and agriculture summer enrichment program this summer. Students in Pre-Kindergarten* through 5th grade will have the opportunity to participate in academically enriched activities that are fun and engaging, STEM hands-on activities, argumentative writing, agriculture, and physical education.
*When selecting your child’s grade level, please select the grade your child will rise to for the 2025-2026 academic year.
*Rising Pre-K students who wish to enroll in the Pre-K class must turn four years old by September 30, 2024.
*Rising 6th-grade students should enroll in the STEMX at SU Camp.
Camp Dates
June 2nd-June 27, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
(Extended Day available for an additional fee)
*There will be no camp on Friday, June 20th, in celebration of Juneteenth.
Registration Fee/Camp Cost
The cost is $309.00.
A separate $26 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is due upon registration for each child to hold their place for camp.
Registration for outside families will open on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 12:30pm. The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.
PLEASE NOTE: Camp balance and before and aftercare fees will be auto-drafted on Friday, May 9th.
Fees include field trips, highly trained staff, on-campus events/activities, and two camp t-shirts.
Campers are required to wear camp t-shirts daily. T-shirts in various colors from previous SULS camps are allowed. Campers must wear this year's camp shirt on field trip days when we travel off campus.
Breakfast and lunch will be included daily at no additional cost.
Some field trips may be an additional cost.
Before and After Care
Before Care - $62/entire camp
Before care begins at 7:30 a.m. Parents must walk students to the designated before-care classroom and sign them in each morning.
Aftercare - $62/entire camp
*We offer a drop-in option for before and aftercare. The fee is $11 and must be prepaid and preapproved 24 hours in advance.
Students must be picked up by 5:00 from after-care. Parents must sign students out of the designated after-care classroom.
*Please note there is no aftercare on Fridays.
There will be a mandatory virtual parent meeting before the beginning of the camp. Summer programming directors will address rules, expectations, procedures, and protocols. We will send an email with the date, time, and link after registration has closed.

STEM X at SU
(Middle/High School: Rising 6th Grade Students - Rising Seniors)
Students enrolled in the STEMX at s SU will receive academic instruction from experienced educators in the morning and spend the afternoon participating in STEM activities provided by the College of Sciences and Engineering (CSE) and others from Southern University and A&M College.

The cost of S.W.A.G. camp for currently enrolled SULS students is $206.00.The cost for non-SULS students is $309.00.

Registration will be open for SULS families on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the rate of $206. Registration for SULS families will close on Friday, April 11th.
* Any SULS student who registers after April 11th must pay the $309 non-SULS fee.

Southern University Laboratory School is pleased to announce that our summer program for students entering grades 6 through 12 is back again!
SULS Summer Enrichment - Bridging the Gap Camp is available to current SULS students and students in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. This camp allows students the opportunity to reinforce and enhance skills in Math, ELA, and Science through interactive and engaging hands-on activities and games.
Students enrolled in the SULS Summer Enrichment - Bridging the Gap Camp will receive academic instruction from trained SULS staff in the morning and spend the afternoon participating in STEM activities provided by the College of Sciences and Engineering (CSE) and others from Southern University and A&M College.
