Description
Artist Trading Cards are miniature works of art measuring 2.5” x 3” For young artists their appeal lies in their small “manageable” format, extensive media/technique options, the joy of collecting their art in a binder, and the opportunity to trade their work with others. Past club members have traded their cards with students in neighboring schools, and with young artists in Guatemala!
Each week students will be presented with a sample card for inspiration, but they are always encouraged to follow their own creativity and interests. There will be opportunities to experiment with painting, weaving, and sewing, as well as create paper engineered cards that spin, jump, and surprise!
Due to an emphasis on process and the individual exploration of materials and subject matter, repeat students are welcomed and encouraged. Session content varies so projects will be fresh to both new and returning students!
